Description
Babouche slippers are an institution, seen on the streets of every market in every Moroccan city. They have been a part of Moroccan life since the 17th century.
Morocco is a world leader in the art of leather production and the leather used for Babouches is the softest available. The leather is still dyed in a natural process which can be observed in the tanneries of the medina. These slippers are produced by Amrani family who is famous for quality handmade babouches with leather soles. The slippers are unique to Fes and as such have Moroccan markings such as sizes and stamps. They are suitable to wear indoors and outside in dry conditions.
