JULY – F&M AT HEATHROW T5
I worked with Universal Design Studio on a series of projects for Fortnum & Mason. The brand is a joy to work with and a huge inspiration in terms of brand building. Their iconic store is a wonderland to get lost in and full of the most beautiful products.
They have had a bar at T5 for over a decade and were looking to expand capacity with a second seated bar. I developed a drawing pack for contractors to expand on and helped bring the build to life. The metalworkers and joiners on the project are mastercraftsmen working at the highest level. The decorative metal design by Universal was based on the original bar and is a beautiful polished nickel piece of craft.
JULY – HOUSE AND GARDEN
We Are Nomads is featured in the July edition of House & Garden, which is a first and a very exciting moment. The Henna bowl and green Tamegroute bowls were featured in this gorgeous Living colour story. Layered on top of this wonderful daybed by Lorfords.
19/05/25 – BRANDING UPDATE
I decided it was time for a refresh of We Are Nomads. It’s been needed for a while; the previous was made up of the letters WAN, but didn’t say much about the business and what it does.
This new logo is inspired by traditional architecture seen across Africa and contemporary architecture that I see day to day. Arches are used frequently in architecture all over Africa, the arch and the slanted roof was inspired by Mud hut design, something that I am fascinated by.
It symbolises how timeless crafts can blend with contemporary design, I hope you like it.

05/05/25 – NEW PRODUCTS INCOMING
Exciting news, new products are being uploaded to the site. Some are updates from existing stock, and a few new pieces. As always, everything is handmade; as a result, the most beautiful textures and colours are unique to each one.
The Henna bowls are a great example of this. Traditionally green, the bowls I have in stock at the moment are a lighter, tinged green that might even be described as “Olive Green”.
I have some new striped cups in that sadly leak but are great as penpots or storage for bushes…I’m still on the hunt to create the striped cups that I had in stock a few years ago.
